When to call a dentist about your gums

This is not a diagnosis checklist. It is a plain-language map of when to pick up the phone.

1

Soon, not someday

  • Gums that bleed every time you brush for more than two weeks.
  • Persistent bad taste or breath that cleaning does not change.
  • Gums that look puffy, dark red, or are pulling away from teeth.
2

Call promptly

  • A tooth that feels loose.
  • Pus along the gumline.
  • Pain that wakes you at night.
3

Emergency care

Swelling that spreads to the face, eye, or neck, or trouble breathing or swallowing, is an emergency. Call 911 or go to an ER.

What Gingivara does not do

We publish information only. We do not diagnose, treat, quote prices, or match you with a dentist.

General information only. Gingivara is not a dental or medical provider and this is not dental or medical advice. Talk with your own dentist about your situation. In an emergency, call 911.
